Continuous Innovations in Graphics Card Coolers, with Many New Technologies and Products Emerging

Recently, the graphics card cooler market has been bustling. Many manufacturers have launched new products and technologies with their own characteristics, bringing new options and better cooling solutions for computer hardware enthusiasts and gamers.

ASUS released a Radeon RX 7600 Dual graphics card on December 21. Positioned as a mainstream product, it adopts a dual-fan cooling module. The Axial-tech "axial-flow" fans feature connected fan blades and support intelligent start-stop, enabling passive operation with zero noise. It is estimated to have at least three heat pipes and is equipped with a hollowed-out back panel, providing a powerful guarantee for the cooling of the graphics card.
ASRock released the RX 7900 XT/XTX Passive non-public graphics card on December 20. It uses a passive cooler, applying the VAPOR-CHAMBER vapor chamber technology, uniquely designed heat dissipation fins and V-shaped air guide grooves. Even in a high-load working environment with multiple graphics cards connected in parallel, it can maintain excellent cooling performance. Moreover, there are large openings at the tail to further improve the cooling effect.
Cryorig launched the VC901 down-blowing air cooler on December 20. This cooler connects the vapor chamber base directly to 73 fins instead of using the traditional heat pipe design, effectively reducing the heat conduction time and improving the cooling efficiency. It is equipped with a 9025-spec FBD bearing fan, which has a circular frame structure with openings in the shape of Cryorig's "CR" trademark around it. It has unique ARGB lighting effects. The fan speed ranges from 900 to 2850 RPM, with a maximum air volume of 60.7 CFM, a maximum static pressure of 25 Pa, and a noise range of 12 to 28 dB(A). It performs excellently in high-load usage scenarios, bringing users a good cooling and visual experience.
Dongguan Yunhong Mould announced on December 11 that it had obtained a new patent named "Graphics Card Cooling Structure with Firm Assembly". This cooling structure includes a PC board, a heat dissipation fin module and a U-shaped plate, etc. Through innovative design, it realizes a stable modular structure, enhances the connection between components and reduces maintenance troubles. The multiple plate structures set on the heat dissipation fin module effectively improve the cooling performance and the overall stability of the equipment, which is expected to promote technological innovations in the field of graphics card cooling.
In addition, Thermal Grizzly launched the TG PUTTY thermal conductive putty series on December 9, which also brought new ideas to graphics card cooling. This series includes three products, namely Basic, Advance and Pro. It supports height adjustments from 0.2 mm to 3.0 mm, can flexibly adapt to the gaps between graphics cards and cooling systems, solves the limitations of traditional fixed-thickness thermal pads, and provides users with better cooling effects.
In terms of patents, Colorful Yugong Technology Development obtained a patent for "A Graphics Card Exhaust Device" on December 4. By adding a drainage component to guide the air to flow smoothly through the heat sink, and the second fin design is composed of multiple arc-shaped pieces, increasing the heat dissipation area and improving the heat exchange efficiency, which can significantly improve the cooling performance of the cooling module and reduce the working temperature of the graphics card. Shenzhen Chenyuan Technology obtained the patent for "A Silent Cooler for Graphics Cards" on December 7. Through a unique structural design, it can regularly clean the fan body to avoid the noise increase caused by dust accumulation on the fan blades, providing users with a quieter usage environment.
From the above developments, it can be seen that manufacturers of graphics card coolers are constantly exploring and innovating. Whether in terms of cooling structures, cooling materials or cooling technologies, remarkable progress has been made. This will provide stronger support for the performance and stable operation of computer hardware and also bring more diversified and high-quality options for consumers.
